Holmes Wrecker?

Mr. Madonna Guy Ritchie has signed on to write and direct a re-imagination of the Sherlock Holmes says Variety.

The film will based on Lionel Wigram's upcoming comic which all but reinvents the classic 19th century detective. Making the character a more action-oriented figure.

Some of Holmes' more eccentric abilities such as boxing and sword fighting come into play much more.

Holmes has been portrayed on film and TV more than any other fictional character in history, with more than 75 actors portraying the London detective in 200 films and TV shows since 1900.

Neil Marshall was previously supposed to direct and let's just say I wish he still was... leaving it at that.

Modernizing the character is risky enough...
