Write And Wrote

The latest game of Hollywood musical chairs:

Rita Hsiao has been pegged to rewrite the script for the big-screen adaptation of the 1960s sitcom "I Dream of Jeannie" according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Hsiao is the sixth person to take a shot at the film over the years, and her take brings the character into the 21st century...

Producer Sidney Ganis promises that a director and a cast won't be named until the script is ready.

I hope it's better than the 2005 film version of TV classic "Bewitched"

Meanwhile, Billy Ray has been hired to re-write Hans Bauer and Craig Mitchell's action thriller "Motorcade" according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The story deals with terrorists assaulting the president's procession as it travels through downtown Los Angeles.

Ray's done some great work Shattered Glass and more recently Breach. I expect another winner.
