This project sounds pretty cool...
Paramount Pictures and J.J. Abrams have optioned the film rights to Penelope Green's New York Times article about an apartment filled with secret compartments and hiding clues to a mystery according to Variety .
Located on the Upper East Side on Fifth Avenue...The luxury unit was completely renovated a few years ago on behalf of the owners, a pair of Wall Street financial types, who later moved in with their four children.
The pair hired young architectural designer Eric Clough who devised an elaborately clever "scavenger hunt" built into the apartment that involved dozens of historical figures, a fictional book and a soundtrack.
Abrams will produce the film.
Maya Forbes and Wallace Wolodarsky will write the script.
This sounds very much up Abrams alley...I wonder if he will call the shots as helmer after he gets Star Trek in theaters?
