Bullet Points

With Steven Spielberg's Abraham Lincoln biopic seemingly forever stalled... Lincoln is on the mind of another filmmaker...

Robert Redford's set to direct the historical drama "The Conspirator" about the 16th POTUS says The Risky Biz Blog.

The story actually follows Mary Surratt, an alleged conspirator of Lincoln assassin John Wilkes Booth.

Surrartt's boardinghouse allegedly supplied Wilkes Booth and his accomplice David Herold, weapons at her tavern after the assassin had shot the president at Ford's Theatre.

She was eventually convicted and hanged for conspiring to kill the president. Her son, who was also allegedly part of the conspiracy, went on the lam and eventually was put on trial but was never convicted.

For the second time today--Actor James McAvoy is said to be at the top of their list for a major role in the pic...But is not yet officially set.

James Solomon wrote the script.

Filming starts this Fall.
