Ju-On and the American remake The Grudge helmer Takashi Shimizu set to direct an untitled thriller for Phoenix Pictures says Variety.The story is about a haunted tune that drives listeners to suicide.
Producer Taka Ichise and Shimizu came up with the pitch and then Chris Philpott penned the actual script.
Ichise co-produces with Mike Medavoy, Arnold Messer and Brad Fischer.
This film has a familiar Ring to it does it not?
Meantime...Shimizu is currently wrapping up The Shock Labyrinth, Japan’s first live-action 3-D flick
