Peter Berg chatted with Sci-Fi Wire and told them that a sequel to last year's profitable Will Smith superhero pic Hancock is still in the pipeline.



"[Sony Pictures] would like to fast-track it, but Will's busy, I'm pretty busy. We're excited to do one, but we want the script to be right and the movie to be right. We don't feel a burning imperative to go right back into it" says Berg.

The story would he...?

"There might be another god out there... Might be another one" also, adding that the Jason Bateman publicist character should continue his storyline of starting a charity campaign.

I was not all that fond of the first flick and not really jazzed for a follow up--despite the talented folks involved. Take your time guys...
