Bio-Back In Rhythm

Juan Carlos Fresnadillo is in talks to direct the video game inspired pic "Bioshock," says Variety.

The game takes place in the underwater city of Rapture, where a pilot crash-lands near a secret entrance and becomes involved in a power struggle.

Gore Verbinski was originally attached to helm the project but had to withdraw when filming moved abroad to bring down the $160 million budget.

Fresnadillo directed 2001 Spanish thriller “Intacto,” before making his US debut with the horror film 28 Weeks Later.

John Logan wrote the Bio script at last report

Verbinski's commitment to the animated film "Rango" with Johnny Depp providing his voice for the lead--took him out of the director's chair but he remains attached to produce.
