Will Ferrell, Brad Pitt and Jonah Hill will lend their voices for the animated pic "Oobermind" reports Variety.Ferrell plays a super-villain who wants all his nefarious dreams to come true when he defeats good-guy rival Metro Man (Pitt). The only problem is that he has nothing to do after beating his most vaunted adversary. To occupy his time, Oobermind manufactures a brand new superhero, Titan (Hill), but he wants to be bad, so Oobermind suddenly has to become good.
Ferrell replaces Robert Downey Jr who left the production due to scheduling conflicts.
Tina Fey is already attached to voice a reporter who tries to make sense of this superhero situation.
The 3-D flick is being directed by Tom McGrath, co-helmer of the "Madagascar" series.
The premise sounds like a lot fun...but Ferrell is not a fave of mine--Therefore--some of my excitement over the project just faded a bit.
A Fall 2010 release is planned.
