Black Panther Marvel's Next Pic?

Could the proposed film version of Marvel's Black Panther be the next film on the slate for the company...?

Latino Review posted a story that seems to indicate that the answer to that question is yes

In the comics, 'Black Panther'  was the name given to royal leader of the fictional African nation Wakanda - in this case a wealthy prince, brilliant scientist and highly skilled warrior named T’Challa. His nemesis is the physicist Ulysses Klaw who murdered his father to gain access to the precious deposits of vibranium, the rare and precious metal that makes up Captain America's shield.

'Panther' is widely regarded as the first major black superhero in comics history

Ghosts of Abu Ghraib documentary witer Mark Bailey was hired a while back to pen the script, an unusual choice at first the character has always been one to weave plenty of social commentary into its tales.

The suits have not confirmed (or denied) the report so far. The character could concievably show up by way of The Avengers 2 since he has been tapped in as a member in the comics

Suggestions already floating around for possible leads includelike John Boyega, Anthony Mackie, Isaiah Mustafa, Djimon Hounsou among others

Film versions of other heroes like “Doctor Strange” and Ant-Man are also in the planning stages...
