Mantzoukas Comes "Together" For Wain

Jason Mantzoukas has joined the rom-com "They Came Together" says Deadline.

In the film Paul Rudd plays a big corporation exec who clashes with Amy Poehler as a quirky knick-knack store owner whom his company plans to shut down. That fiery relationship becomes a passionate on-again/off-again love affair.

Mantzoukas will play Rudd’s best friend. While "New Girl" star Max Greenfield will play the wayward couch surfing younger brother of Rudd’s character.

The film sends standard rom-com staples like jealous exes, wise animals, co-workers who are A-holes, scary in-laws and long beauty shots of New York City.

"Wet Hot American Summer" director David Wain and Michael Showalter wrote the script years ago with the latter set to produce.

Production begins in July.
