Paramount has shut down prep work on the Michael Bay produced "Ninja Turtles" reboot says THR.
The film was set to be live-action but the turtles are expected to be motion capture/CGI like last year's "Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes".
The reason for the delay is said to involve script issues, and work has immediately
halted at the film's pre-production offices in Vancouver with staff being let
go and told the delay is "indefinite". A studio rep did not immediately
comment.
Jonathan Liebesman was directing from a script by Kevin Eastman, Josh
Appelbaum and Andre Nemec.
Brad Fuller Andrew Form, Galen Walker and Scott Mednick would co-produce with Bay
The pic was originally slated for release in December 2013 and is now targeting a May 2014
release.
