Liam Hemsworth Leads "Cut Bank"

Deadline reports Liam Hemsworth has joined the cast of the crime thriller Cut Bank--replacing Armie Hammer--who left the film over scheduling conflicts.

Hemsworth will play 25-year-old Dwayne McLaren, a former-athlete-turned-auto-mechanic who is desperate to escape his hometown of Cut Bank, Mont. But his dreams of escaping the coldest town in America set in motion a series of events that will change him and his town forever.

John Malkovich, Billy Bob Thornton, Bruce Dern, Teresa Palmer, Oliver Platt and Michael Stuhlbarg also star.

Matt Shakman is directing from a screenplay by Roberto Patino, which landed on the Black List back in 2009.

Edward Zwick, Mickey Barold, and Dan Cohen are producing the film.

Production began on June 12 in Alberta Canada
