Jake Kasdan will once again be at the helm using a script penned by Justin Malen.
The film is being developed with the notion that Cameron Diaz will reprise her role from the first film.. However, no deal is in place yet.
Jimmy Miller, Kasdan, Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky will produce.
The first film pulled in $216 million at the global box office.
Ari Graynor stars in the half-hour weekly TV incarnation which will premiere mid-season next year on CBS.
