Terminator 5: It's Down To 2 For Young Sarah Connor Role

Emilia Clarke and Brie Larson are said to still in the mix to play of a young Sarah Connor in the upcoming  Terminator 5. says Deadline.

The goal is said to be to cast the Sarah Connor role before locking down the John Connor and Kyle Reese roles.  Garrett Hedlund Tom Hardy and Boyd Holbrook ("The Host") are said to be up for John.

Arnold Schwarzenegger is due to return while cohorts Linda Hamilton and Michael Biehn have been rumored to be involved as well.

No story details have been offered but we do know that the new pic is the chapter of a stand alone trilogy. Laeta Kalogridis and Patrick Lussier wrote the script from which "Thor: The Dark World" director Alan Taylor  is all but set to call action

Clarke is said to currently be the front runner, and has had experience working with Taylor on the cable drama "Game of Thrones".

Both casting potentials for young Sara have a six degrees connection to the franchise: Clarke's Thrones co-star Lena Headey played Sarah Connor in the TV series "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles", while Hardy's "The Dark Knight Rises" co-star Christian Bale played John Connor in "Terminator Salvation.

Megan Ellison's going to produce the film with her brother David Ellison

Production aims to begin next year for a July 1st 2015 release.
