Gad Goes Ashore To "Gilligan's Island" Movie

Variety reports that Josh Gad has joined the cast of the long-in-development movie adaptation of classic 1960's TV sitcom Gilligan's Island.


Created by Sherwood Schwartz the film will be a contemporary update of the show which followed a group of zany tourists shipwrecked on an uninhabited Pacific island several hundred miles off Hawaii.

Gad will also co-write the script with Benji Samit and Dan Hernandez.

Brad Copeland penned the previous script draft

Previously attached producers Charles Roven and Richard Suckle are no longer involved.
