Gervais Back For "Night At The Museum 3"

Deadline reports that Ricky Gervais is back in the adventure sequel Night at the Museum 3 at Fox.

Star Ben Stiller and director Shawn Levy will reunite for the sequel that follows the further adventures of museum guard Larry Daley (Stiller), who discovered that the exhibits come to life under cover of darkness. Specific plot details for this film were not released.

Once again Gervais plays Dr. McPhee, Daley’s boss.

Former Downton Abbey star Dan Stevens will play Lancelot here. Skyler Gisondo, who played Emma Stone’s brother in “The Amazing Spider-Man,” will star as Nick, son of Stiller’s Daley.

It's still unclear if  Amy Adams, Bill Hader and Christopher Guest will reprise their roles.

The first "Night at the Museum" was released in 2006 and went on to gross $574 million worldwide. The sequel came along three years later, grossing $413 million.

Production on part 3 begins February 2014 and will take place in Vancouver and London.

The film is set for a Dec. 25, 2014 release.
