Peter Straughan ("The Men Who Stare at Goats") wrote the adapted script based on Rachel Boynton's 2005 documentary that focused on the use of American political campaign strategies in Bolivia by President Bill Clinton's former consultants James Carville and Stan Greenberg.
Bullock would play 'Calamity' Jane Bodine, a retired American political consultant who quotes famous people to hammer home her talking points.
Bullock's "Gravity" co-star George Clooney is set to produce the film with his pal Grant Heslov. It's unclear if Clooney will co-star at this point, and he's is not expected to direct.
