Variety has casting news for a high profile sequelAmy Adams (pictured) is negotiating to star opposite Ben Stiller in "Night at the Museum 2: Escape from the Smithsonian".
Adams would play an undetermined historical figure from some exhibit who is smitten with security guard Larry Daley (Stiller).
Adams seems like a good fit for the whimsical action-adventure/comedy, given her stellar success last fall's Enchanted
Shawn Levy returns to direct, with a U.S. release date scheduled for May 22nd 2009.
Filming will begin this May in Vancouver.
