WGA, studios hammer on details

As the lawyers work overtime to hammer out the details, scenarios are emerging that could -- underline could -- bring an end to the WGA strike as early as next week.

Strike talk at Oscar noms luncheon

George Clooney on Monday urged the Actors Guild to start bargaining as soon as possible, Viggo Mortensen chided the AMPTP for misplaced priorities, and Michael Moore expressed amazement that the big companies would be willing to "shut the town down" to save what he termed "a few pennies."
