Boys Club

Variety is "Spreading" the news:

Ashton Kutcher (pictured) is teaming with Jennifer Jason Leigh for an indie sex comedy called "Spread" for Kutcher's production company

The story chronicles the dating life of a serial womanizer (Kutcher); Leigh will play a thwarted lover.

Jason Dean Hall wrote the script in his feature film debut.

Scottish-born David Mackenzie is directing. Production begins later this month in Los Angeles.

Kutcher's character of Kelso on the sit-com That 70s Show was a womanizer as well. Therefore, he should have no problem playing this role...It's nice to see that Leigh is keeping busy.

For this film to work though--newbie Hall's screenplay better be spot on to avoid predictability...

Variety also has casting news for a potential blockbuster.

Aussie born actor Sam Worthington (pictured) has been cast in "Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins"

Worthington who just played the lead in the upcoming James Cameron directed "Avatar " (and who created the big T in the first place) got the recommendation for "Terminator" by Cameron himself.

Worthington is set to play the role of Marcus, a central figure in a three-picture arc that begins after Skynet has destroyed much of the human race.

The studio has set the new film for release next Summer.

You can't get any better than Cameron giving advice for the new Terminator trilogy...High praise indeed.
