The plot has the team ordered to infiltrate a South American country and overthrow its ruthless dictator to liberate the population. Their team is "expendable," hired to do jobs that no one else can or will.
Stallone will pull triple duty to direct from his original screenplay. This and another "Rambo" sequel will serve as his two-picture deal with the studio.
Li & Statham previous teamed on 2001's "The One" and 2007's War
Shooting begins in February.
Li and Stratham can kick butt all day long and Stallone shows no sign of slowing down--Here's hoping though his script keeps the contrived dialogue down to a minimum.
