Nutty Professor II: The Klumps opened in 2000.
The series dealt with Sherman Klump, a shy rotund scientist (Eddie Murphy) who turns extroverted after trying one of his own potions.
In classic Murphy fashion he played both the title character and all the members of his extended family.
Murphy is not attached at present and his involvement would be depend upon who was hired as the writer and director...Without Murphy this 3rd film would crash and burn--the suits will find a way for his return to happen...
An open call is underway to find writers for the project.
