Beast Gets Bigger/Mulan Goes Live

-The 1991 animated classic "Beauty and the Beast is coming back to theaters...

Producer Don Hahn and directors Kirk Wise and Gary Trousdale are giving the film a Digital 3D upgrade says Variety.

The endeavor marks Disney's 11th 3-D feature and will use the film's original computer files to create a new version of the film.

Re-rendering the film is expected to take 10 months.

A 2010 release is expected.



-A $30 million live-action feature based on the life of Hua Mulan says The Hollywood Reporter.

The legend of the heroic Chinese girl-warrior was made famous in a 1998 animated movie of the same name.

Production is set to begin in China in the spring.
