The wife of late Trek creator Gene Roddenberry, the actress has provided the voice of the various computers of the Federation in four of the TV series and several of the films.
The actress appeared on screen as Dr. McCoy's (DeForest Kelley) assistant Nurse Chapel in the 1960's and Deanna Troi's (Marina Sirtis) eccentric mother Lwaxana on "Star Trek: The Next Generation" and "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine"
Not entirely a surprise. But a welcomed return...Nice touch...
