The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has chosen People Magazine's 2008" Sexiest Man Alive" and actor Hugh Jackman to host the 81st Academy Awards according to the Associated Press.
Though the awards have generally been hosted by comedians in the past, producers Larry Mark and Bill Condon plan to get rid of the joke-telling portion of the show this year including the signature opening monologue.
The awards themselves are said to have been revamped from top to bottom for next year's ceremony which takes place on February 22nd.
Why not put Jackman there...? The show has already hit rock bottom--It couldn't get any worse...Besides Jackman got rave reviews as host of the Tony Awards from 2003-2005.
