Dark Disc Debut

As my copy arrived in today's mail...

Deadline Hollywood Daily says over 600,000 Blu-ray copies and three million DVD copies of "The Dark Knight" have sold in the film's first day of release.

The previous Blu-ray record holder was "Iron Man" which took a week to sell 400,000 copies.

Over seven million regular DVD copies of the film are expected to be sold by week's end.

By comparison the bestselling DVD of last year was "Transformers" which sold nearly fourteen million units over the space of around twelve weeks.

In case you were wondering Finding Nemo is the best selling DVD of all time with 30 million copies sold as of last year.

TDK returns to theaters in January.
