It comes as absolutely no surprise that Variety is reporting that "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides" will be coming at you in digital 3-D.The latest installment will see Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) searching for the fountain of youth. Ian McShane will play the villainous pirates Blackbeard and Penelope Cruz will play Blackbeard's daughter and Sparrow's love interest. The sequel will film entirely on location in Hawaii, Great Britain and Los Angeles (unless that changed due to budget cuts), starting this June with Rob Marshall calling action. It will hit theaters on May 20th, 2011.
Slash the budget but raise ticket prices so you can guarantee inflated revenue...Nice
