Twelve years after she did "The Object of My Affection" with Paul Rudd they are re-teaming for the comedy "Wanderlust" reports Variety.
The story centers on a couple who, after losing all of their money, take refuge at a hippie commune.
David Wain ("Role Models" which also starred Rudd) will direct from a script he wrote with Ken Marino.--which sees Rudd do a rewrite
The pair will also produce, as will Judd Apatow.
Rudd and Jen had solid chemistry in Object-this new pic could be fun
Based on Michael Markowitz's spec script, the black comedy revolves around three frustrated friends who conspire to murder each other's bosses with unexpected and rather calamitous results. The three bosses include a master manipulator, a sexually aggressive dentist (Aniston) and a weaselly scion (the just cast Colin Farrell).
Bateman plays a hard worker who gets passed over for a promotion. Day's character, who works for Aniston, plays a guy who gets innocently caught in the worst possible places and times.
The long-time in the pipeline flick was originally setup in 2005 with Owen Wilson, Ashton Kutcher, Vince Vaughn, Matthew McConaughey and directors like Roger Kumble and Frank Oz all attached at one point
Since then Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley rewrote the script, while Seth Gordon is on tap to call action.
Brett Ratner and Jay Stern are producing that pic.
