Walter Hill Will Direct Stallone-Led “Headshot”

There’s been much speculation about who’ll direct the upcoming action flick Headshot, set to star Sylvester Stallone. Well, wonder no more: Sly just emailed Harry Knowles of Ain’t It Cool News with the answer; Knowles relayed the message:

It's official. We've got Walter Hill on board so would love for you to let the world know.  We've been on the same track since The Driver, then 48 Hrs didn't happen so here we are almost 35 years later, I'm finally driving with Walter Hill.”

Put this in my personal Don’t Care section of my imaginary file cabinet. Though one must respect Sly Stallone for maintaining his status in the world of the action genre for so long, news regarding  any of his upcoming releases just doesn’t do anything for me.

Additionally, Hill has earned accolades for his work on television, but when it comes to his film work, but he’s largely responsible for forgettable fare when it comes to his cinematic affairs. Count me out of this one unless something monumental happens to the current framework of the film.

How do you feel about the news that Walter Hill has stepped into the director’s chair for Sly?
