Stephen Colbert, Allison Janney, Ellie Kemper, Ariel Winter and Stephen Tobolowsky will lend their voices for the new 3-D animated film based on the classic cartoon "Mr. Peabody & Sherman" says THR.
As part of the original "Rocky & Bullwinkle & Friends", the characters created by Jay Ward--Mr. Peabody and his pet boy Sherman used The Wayback Machine to travel through time and discover new things about historical figures.
Modern Family star Ty Burrell is the voice of the genius talking dog Mister Peabody. Max Charles (young Peter Parker in the July superhero reboot The Amazing Spider-Man) will play Sherman.
Colbert will play Paul Peterson, Mr. Peabody's nemesis. Janney plays his wife, Paula Peterson, and Winter, their daughter Penny Peterson (the lovable bully who gives Sherman grief).
Rob Minkoff ("The Haunted Mansion") directs from a script by Jeffrey Ventimilia and Joshua Sternin that was reworked by Craig Wright (Six Feet Under)
Alex Schwartz and Denise Nolan Cascino (Shrek the Third) will be producing the pic, with Tiffany Ward, Eric Ellenbogen and Jason Clark set as executive producers.
The film's release date has been moved up by several months - from March 14th 2014 to November 8th 2013.
