Dwayne Johnson has a busy year ahead. He's due to finish his filming commitment James Wan's Fast & Furious 7 in the first half of the year, and now he's talking about about his next film after that -"San Andreas: 3D".
The film deals with a massive quake striking California, and the
action follows one man who must make the treacherous journey across the
state to rescue his estranged daughter.
Brad Peyton has been pegged to direct using a script from former "Lost" co-showrunner Carlton Cuse
Andre Fabrizio, Jeremy Passmore and Allan Loeb penned the first script
Beau Flynn and Tripp Vinson are producing the film.
Johnson confirms via Twitter that production on the project is slated to begin in April in Brisbane, Australia. He calls it "the first ever big 3D earthquake disaster film."
The film has a June 5th 2015 release date planned
He also says: "I'm cautiously excited to start shooting 'Not Without Hope'. To tell this story and become this man is truly an honor."
That project he's talking about is the film adaptation of former football player Nick Schuyler's best-selling memoir about a 2009 fishing trip to the Gulf of Mexico that turned disastrous when his boat capsized.
It was recently revealed that Johnson had a meeting with WB about a DC superhero movie
