OSCARS '14: The Nominees And More

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced its nominees early this morning for the year's best work in the film industry. Thor himself Chris Hemsworth and Academy President Cheryl Boone Isaacs took to the podium to reveal the names that will be on the ballots.

I am a bit surprised that both Martin Scorsese and Leonardo DiCaprio got nods for their latest collaboration The Wolf of Wall Street given how crowded this year is. Thrilled that Alfonso Cuarón's sci-fi thriller "Gravity"gets 10 noms as did 's American Hustle

One time potentials "Fruitvale Station" and "Lee Daniels' The Butler" were shut out.
