"Legion Of Super-Heroes" Movie Is Pushing Through

Last fall we were told that Warner Bros and DC Entertainment were working on "The Legion of Super-Heroes" movie, giving the studio its outer space adventure team ala "Guardians of the Galaxy".

Today, Bleeding Cool reports that the project is being "pushed through" as "The Avengers-Meets-Guardians". Although the studio has yet to give the project a green light, the site claims it is in "serious development".

Debuting in 1958, the Legion of Super-Heroes comic is a set in the 30th and 31st centuries team up that has gone through numerous reboots. The three founding members are Cosmic Boy, Lightning Lad and Saturn Girl who have powers of magnetism, electricity and mind control respectively.

It 's got a more sci-fi/futuristic bent than the Justice League, with other heroes coming and going over the years.

The studio wants a lighter tone for this project than the other movies in the  DC Cinematic Universe --Thank the gods of Krypton....

No screenwriter or director is attached at this time.
