Richard Linklater Eyes "Where'd You Go Bernadette"

"Boyhood" director Richard Linklater is in talks to helm the unconventional and quirky family drama Where'd You Go, Bernadette says THR.

Based on author Maria Semple's best selling novel, the story follows an agoraphobia suffering architect and mother named Bernadette Branch who goes missing prior to a family trip to Antarctica. It's the way the narrative unfolds that's distinct, the story is narrated by her 15-year-old daughter Bee Branch and is told through a series of emails, letters, FBI documents, psychiatrist correspondence, and even an emergency room bill.

"The Fault in Our Stars" writers Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber have adapted the script

Megan Ellison, Nina Jacobson and Brad Simpson will produce.
