Simon West Charts "Stratton"

Simon West ("Con Air," "The Expendables 2") will call the shots on the action thriller "Stratton" says ScreenDaily.

Based on the the lead character in author Duncan Falconer's series--the first of eight novels called The Hostage, follows action from the borders of Kazakhstan and China, to mainland Europe and then London. The story focuses on John Stratton ("Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice" star Henry Cavill), a Special Boat Service operative who works with the intelligence services in Northern Ireland.


There’s no word on a writer to pen the adapted script yet.

Production company Promethean was created by Cavill, his brother Charlie Cavill and London-based producer Rex Glensy.

The project was originally optioned and developed by Ileen Maisel and Lawrence Elman who brought the project to Promethean..

Production will take place in the UK and Italy this summer.
