Double Play For Pitt

A Brad Pitt 2-fer-1...

**Warner Bros. is planning on turning Homer's epic poem "Odyssey " into a futuristic space epic reports Variety.

Pitt and director George Miller are tied to this new adaptation the property direct

Pitt of course starred in 2004's "Troy" for the studio which was based on both Homer's Iliad and the early passages of The Odyssey.

The tale follows Odysseus' decade-long journey from the Trojan War to his homeland of Ithaca in Greece.

Over the years the work has been translated onto film and TV many times and has been used as inspiration for feature films like "O Brother, Where Art Thou? " and "Apocalypse Now"... Even the 'sci-fi version' concept of the story has been done before in a French 1981 anime series entitled "Ulysse 31"



**Pitt may star in David Frankel's adaptation of author Michael Lewis' nonfiction bestseller "Moneyball: The Art of Winning an Unfair Game" reports Variety.

The film will follow The Oakland Athletics general manager Billy Beane , who assembled a contending baseball club on a shoestring budget by employing a sophisticated computer-based analysis to draft players.
