Living Longer

The film version of Twilight is some 5 weeks away (November 21st)...AndSummit Entertainment's CEO Rob Friedman is already prepping the next flick in the series...according to Deadline Hollywood Daily.

Last week's debut of the final trailer drew 3.5 million downloads in less than 48 hours. The Twilight Soundtrack is among the Top 5 Best-Selling Albums on Amazon based on pre-sales alone.

Merchandising sales figures and hit rates may indicate more anticipation for this film than maybe any other film out in the last quarter of the year--(except perhaps High School Musical 3: Senior Year)-the studio is still playing it cautious - and have issued an estimated opening weekend of only about $20 million.

There may be a built-in fan base with the books and the teen girls going nuts for it, but the question of its longevity and appeal outside that demographic - especially amongst males-which drive the box office--looms large....

Taking a cue from J.J. Abrams-The film has an official running time of 120 minutes. Remember though the shorter the film means more showings per day per theater.
