Leaping For Love

Amy Adams is in negotiations to star in the romantic comedy "Leap Year" according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Adams will play an uptight woman who travels to Dublin to propose to her boyfriend on leap day, February 29th, following the Irish tradition in which women propose to men on that day and the man has to say yes. When weather derails her trip, she enlists the help of a surly Irish innkeeper to make an unexpected cross-country trek to pull off the perfect proposal in time.

Adams came into her own as a major star in Enchanted--this project will likely enhance and build on that success.

Deborah Kaplan & Harry Elfont wrote the screenplay but no director is attached. Production is set for February.
