There are plenty of sequels that have been made throughout cinema history-that SHOULD HAVE NEVER BEEN GREENLIT AT ALL...
This news is therefore very troubling...
Eagle Eye writer Travis Wright is working on a sequel to "Blade Runner" with the original film's producer Bud Yorkin says the gang at Slash Film.
Wright says he is developing a script and pre-visualisation sequences for a pitch to studio suits...
Wright's former writing partner John Glenn worked on the sequel but became "uneasy" with the idea of making a follow-up to Ridley Scott's sci-fi masterpiece:
"It never got too far off the ground because the [original] movie is so perfect, so the more we thought about it, the more uneasy we became with the idea."
Uh, those uneasy feelings were there for a reason...Runner does need a sequel remake or whatever!! Period!
It's still gonna probably move ahead though...Ho hum...How depressing...
