From W. To Hex?

The 2nd second comic book flick casting rumor of the day:

Hollywood Elsewhere's editor Jeff Wells says that Josh Brolin has signed on to play the title role in the Jonah Hex film saying that "the deal is sealed".

The studio will not confirm the rumor, and Brolin's people say the actor is "not attached."

Hex is a old west anti-hero, a middle-aged bounty hunter and gunslinger with a heavily scarred face who is tracking down a voodoo practitioner.

Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor wrote the script and are helming the project.

Never read the comic but have a passing familiarity with the character...

Brolin's next W. opens October 17th.
