Tennis Anyone?

A biopic about tennis legend Bill Tilden is in the pipeline says Variety.

Tilden dominated tennis in the 1920s, winning six straight US Open asingles titles and becoming the first American to win Wimbledon..

He was also a contract bridge champ, musicologist, novelist, playwright and actor. He was also very self-destructive, jailed twice for sexual misbehavior with teenage boys and dying penniless.

Sports writer Frank Deford adapted his book Big Bill Tilden: The Triumphs and the Tragedy into a screenplay.
