Gate And House Go BIG

It's time to pull your 3-D glasses out of the drawer again...

*A low-budget 3D remake of 1987 horror pic The Gate's on the way according to Bloody Disgusting.

The original film starred Stephen Dorff, and followed three young children who accidentally release scores of nasty, pint-sized demons from a hole in a suburban backyard.

Bill & Ted's actor turned director Alex Winter will call the shots when filming starts later this Summer.

*There's also a film remake Edgar Allan Poe's "The Fall Of The House Of Usher" on the way as well says The Hollywood Reporter.

Poe's 1839 tale tells of the mysterious goings-on in the house of Roderick Usher, who has recently buried a sister whose presence still haunts the house.

This new take, callrd "The Ushers" will look at a grown brother and sister who have lived in the same Martha's Vineyard house for a long time but begin to feel trapped there, and who then bring in a real-estate broker to help them resolve their crisis.

Claire Forlani, Dougray Scott and Rufus Sewell will star in the film which Stephen Kay is attached to direct.

The original 1960 Roger Corman film version starred the legendary Vincent Price...
