Oscar-winner Christopher McQuarrie (The Usual Suspects) is set to re-write and potentially direct the thriller One Shot says Heat Vision.

The story is based on the 9th. book by author Lee Child using his Jack Reacher character, a military cop turned drifter. In 'Shot', a military sniper accused of murder seeks out Reacher for help.

McQuarrie will rework the script by Josh Olson ("A History of Violence").

If CM does call action--it's it his first time helming a movie since "The Way of the Gun" in 2000.
