J.J. Abrams is developing the robot pic Boiilerplate says Heat Vision

Based on the Paul Guinan and Anina Bennet graphic novel, the story follows the world’s first robot, who fought alongside Theodore Roosevelt and T. E. Lawrence, journeyed to Antartica and was involved in the silent movie business before disappearing during World War I

Deborah Newmyer ("The Ugly Truth") will produce the pic.

I suppose it's only fitting that a man with a production company called Bad Robot would be behind this one
