Just as actress Emily Browning has dropped out of the race to play the female Lisbeth Salander in David Fincher’s adaptation of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo remake…
Fincher is denying claims that either he or Sony Pictures have made plans to shoot the three books in the Tattoo" trilogy back-to-back or are already in early prep on any sequels.
He tells MTV that "No, there's no plans for that right now. You got to make one that people want to see a sequel to before you can make a sequel".
Somebody better tell studio co-chairman Amy Pascal that...
Fincher also confirmed plans to shoot and set the film in Sweden, specifically "Stockholm. Uppsala. In the north".
There are no plans to move the setting to the U.S?
"You have to. What, are you going to put it in Seattle?… Seattle noir [laughter]".
