Miles Chapman will write the film adaptation of Andrew Klavan's young adult novels The Homelanders says Heat Vision.
The story in the first book called The Last Thing I Remember centers on a high school student who wakes up to find himself tied to a chair, not knowing where he is or how a whole year has passed. After he manages to escape, he embarks on an adventure to find out why terrorists and the authorities are after him.
Some sci-fi element will be added to the film version.
"Smallville" creators Alfred Gough and Miles Millar are working with Chapman and are in talks to make their directorial debut on the project.
Klavan's also a screenwriter having penned "The Tomb" that Antoine Fuqua is attached to direct
Lorenzo Di Bonaventura will produce Homelanders.
