Variety reports that actor Clifton Collins Jr. has signed on to join Guillermo Del Toro’s sci-fi monster epic Pacific Rim.
The story is set in 2025, twelve years into a war against alien creatures who reside in the middle of the Pacific Ocean.
Collins Jr.'s role in the pic is as yet unknown.
Charlie Hunnam, Charlie Day, Idris Elba, Rinko Kikuchi Max Martini. Robert Kazinsky and Willem Dafoe also star in GdT-directed 2013 release
Travis Beacham penned the screenplay
Thomas Tull Jon Jashni, del Toro. Mary Parent who (just signed on) and Callum Greene will produce.
Production is expected to get underway this fall.
