The next script will be penned by James Vanderbilt who helped write the reboot.
Andrew Garfield stars as Spidey in the Marc Webb directed film and his contract has an option for more films.
The sequel is set to open May 2, 2014.
The move itself is not a shock--The fact that it was made this far out from Amazing's release is kinda surprising. It signals confidence in the franchise restart. Let's hope...that proves to be right.
