Director Kevin Smith had previously stated that his Hockey comedy Hit Somebody was too long to accomodate one film.
Now the writer/director took to Twitter and revealed he had changed his mind says Reuters.
Smith says "[I'm] now gonna make one big movie instead…makes more sense, anyway: the movie's about taking one, good shot."
Nicholas Braun, Kyle Gallner John Goodman, Melissa Leo, Alan Rickman, Kevin Pollak and Ralph Garman star.
Braun will play Buddy McCracken, a young up-and-coming hockey player who uses his fists as often as his stick.
The script is based on the Warren Zevon Song with lyrics by acclaimed writer Mitch Albom.
Production is kicking off earlier than expected as well, in June rather than late Summer--Smith hopes to premiere his last film at Sundance Film Festival in 2013.
