Holland Takes On King's "Ten O' Clock People"

Tom Holland ("Child's Play," the original "Fright Night") has signed on to write and direct an adaptation of author Stephen King's short story "The Ten O'Clock People" says Deadline.

The story, follows Boston man Brandon Pearson who is trying to kick his smoking habit. As a result of this, a unique chemical imbalance allows him to see a frightening aspect of reality he hadn't previously seen - that many people living in positions of power are actually inhuman monsters disguised as people.

The tale was first published in the 1993 as part of the anthology "Nightmares And Dreamscapes". Five stories from the collection made up a basic cable anthology mini-series of the same name in 2006.

Holland and King previously collaborated on the feature film adaptation of "Thinner" and the television mini-series version "The Langoliers.".

Production will kick off this Summer.
